School is over, holidays are coming, but we’d like to publish how many scholars, teachers, parents helped our children in Adwa this year.
- Thanks to Barbara Gaion Zambelli, two schools in England adopted at long distance some Ethiopian children. Barbara showed many photographs about Adwa Salesian school and doctors’ activity in the temporary clinic, where her parents went as volunteers and heeled many people. Seahorse Nursery in London and Danes Hill School Pre-Prep (Bevendean) sponsored 4 Adwa children, thank you so much!
- Association Amici di Adwa met high schools in Cento through Agire Sociale and religion teachers. Our Volunteers and representatives went in 10 classes of 15 years old students. Students at Bassi Burgatti Technical Institute decided to renounce to buy a snack for a day and give money to sponsor a child in Adwa for 1 year: thank you all!
- We met also 3rd grade classes at Middle Schools in Finale Emilia and Massa Finalese, during literature and history lessons. After studing the Adwa battle, boys and girls discovered how Italian people can nowadays win the struggle against famine and diseases in Ethiopia, on the side of Salesian Sisters.
Thank you all on behalf of Adwa children, families and Sisters!
